Thank You All Veterans For Our Service
Posted by Hearing Specialists on November 08, 2013
This Monday is Veterans Day and we want to take a moment to say thank you to our service men and women who have sacrificed their time and effort for our country. We greatly value your hard work and dedication to keep us safe.
I’m sure you know working in the military is not a quiet job. We occasionally see veterans in our office with hearing loss or symptoms of ringing in their ears, also known as tinnitus, from shooting guns, working around large machinery, traveling in loud airplanes or helicopters and more. Thousands and thousands of veterans suffer from hearing loss and it’s the number one military-related injury. In fact the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs estimates more than 59,000 military members are on disability for hearing loss just from Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. That isn’t even counting the Gulf War, Vietnam and WWII!
Needless to say if you are a veteran with hearing loss, you are not alone. If you have any questions or concerns about your hearing, please come in to our office where we can give you a free hearing evaluation. Your hearing is our utmost concern. If you have a hearing loss, visit our Contact Us page, we can help you find the nearest VA (where they will pay for your hearing aids) or if you prefer you can also purchase from us. We'd love to shake your hand, say thank you and hear your story. Again, thank you for all that you’ve done for our country. You are appreciated.
